But someone commented, “FINALLY.”

…but if you just know, you know. And there are some instances where it can be a “finally” moment. For instance, my current boyfriend and I have only been together for a year, but if it wasn’t out of consideration for his parents’ feelings, and the fact that there is no way we can afford a wedding (because neither of us want just us and witnesses in front of a justice of the peace) , an engagement might be official by now. So yeah, I expect that when it does become “official” there will be plenty of those “finally!” comments. And no, I cannot legally drink yet. But just because I’m not yet 21 does not mean that I don’t know what kind of a commitment I am entering. I’m the same age my father was when my parents got married, and they have now been married for 23 years. Would you like to tell them that they rushed?
